Jupiter Enters Aquarius‏

Greetings Earthlings,

On Monday, January 5th, 2009 at 7:42 am Pacific Time, Jupiter entered Aquarius. Jupiter spends about a year in each sign. Its passage through Capricorn brought heightened focus to those energies just as Pluto was entering that sign and completely changing the cosmic landscape (first in January 2008, and then finally, after a brief return to Sagittarius, in November 2008). With Pluto in Capricorn, that sign will clearly be center stage until 2023, but with Jupiter moving on to Aquarius, we are getting a little breathing room. Capricorn is an earth sign and ruled by Saturn, while Aquarius is an air sign and was ruled by Saturn until we discovered Uranus. 2009 is shaping up to be a stellar year due to three triple conjunctions of Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron that will occur in May, July, and next Winter Solstice! While these conjunctions will be in late Aquarius, the Jupiter ingress is surely a herald of what is to come. In the weeks ahead I look forward to elaborating more on what all of that means, including the double rulership of Aquarius, given that those two planets, Saturn and Uranus, are now in a series of five oppositions, the first of which was exact on Election Day with four more to come through 2010.

For now, to get a glimpse of what this portends, meditate on the basic archetypal meanings:
Neptune: spirituality, inspiration, imagination, idealism, and dreams of all kinds
Chiron: healing (that emerges forth from the wounding itself)
Aquarius/Uranus: community as a collective of unique individual geniuses, humanitarianism, freedom, revolution, intelligent visionary change
(I can't imagine any astrologers were much surprised when we found out Obama's birth time and saw he was Aquarius rising)
and Jupiter, well, let's just say that for millennia it has been referred to as the Greater Benefic and in India it is called Guru!

Sounds like a good time? You bet! See you at the party--bring your inspired healing visions of change and get ready to manifest on a grand scale.

It's 2009; Jupiter is in Aquarius; and the time is now! And yes that is a cosmic alarm clock you hear ringing!!! 2009 should also be a good year for Neptunian art production (poetry, music, and film). Scroll past postscripts for more key dates this month. Happy New Year!!!

With blessings from the cosmos,
Pardis

p.s. Don't be ashamed if you feel a sudden urge to start singing the opening number from Hair.

The Public Theater's critically acclaimed revival from last summer will be opening on Broadway soon.

Apparently the first preview date is was rescheduled for three days earlier than planned--sounds like a kindly soul told them to consider doing it when the Sun was conjunct Neptune/Chiron and Jupiter conjunct the Moon's North Node, needless to say, all in Aquarius--did I mention Uranus rules astrology?

p.p.s. If you are waiting for a free chart from me, please feel free to send me your birth data again as a reminder. No doubt I have it on a post-it somewhere, but emailing me your info (date, place, and time ideally from birth certificate) could just speed up the process. (Did I mention Uranus rules technology? It was the passage of Uranus in Aquarius that brought us all cellphones and the internet.) I hope to put together a guide to the best sites to go online to find out more information about your chart, as well as tools to figure out what transits like the triple conjunctions of 2009 mean for you personally by seeing where they occur in your chart.

p.p.p.s. Much sincere thanks to everyone who replied to the Pluto Solstice email! As always feel free to forward this to anyone you think might appreciate it. If someone forwarded you this and you want to be added to the distribution list, just email me. And of course, please email me if you wish not to get further missives in future, and I promise not to take it personally (the cosmos on the other hand could seriously get it's feelings hurt).

January 19: Sun enters Aquarius 2:41 pm
can you feel the Jupiter now? if you missed out on meditating during the Jupiter ingress, take a few minutes this afternoon (MLK day no less--sweet!)

January 25: Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aquarius 11:55 pm
plant Aquarian seeds to harvest next month when the full moon blooms, eclipse energy = cosmic miracle-gro

OK, break's over, back to work, remember Saturn is still in Virgo!!!
